On September 21, 2006, at the Hatteras Village Civic
Association
Board of Directors meeting, the following resolution was unanimously
adopted:
Whereas
the HVCA Board of Directors does and always has supported traditional
vehicular access to the beaches of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore:
and
Whereas
the Board recognizes the economic importance of beach access to our
community; and
Whereas
the HVCA Board has accepted a seat on the "Committee for a Negotiated
Rulemaking on Off-road Vehicle Use on Cape Hatteras National Seashore"
to monitor and advocate for historical uses;
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED, the HVCA Board will continue to serve the
best
interests of the people of Hatteras Village by continuing to support
vehicular and pedestrian access to our beaches.
